To mark its 35th edition, Paléo Festival Nyon is publishing a book that retraces the best moments of a history rich in emotions, in both words and pictures.

La Magie de l’éphémère, is the story of a Festival, unlike any other, which developed and grew, edition after edition. A Festival that in addition to the music, has always given pride of place to artistic installations of all sorts… original, astonishing, magical.

The Village du Monde and its reinterpretation of world cultures, the Compagnie Carabosse, creators of spellbinding fiery structures, the HES-SO space and its architectural installations with their high-tech design, the Ruche and its delicate poetry… just some of the transient, magical constructions that are brought to life in the numerous photographs contained in this richly illustrated book.

As dawn breaks on the 35th Paléo Festival Nyon, get to know the artists who will be livening up the Village du Monde 2010 by listening to the compilation CD “Ubuntu – À la découverte de l’Afrique australe!”. The Ubuntu philosophy, “I am what I am thanks to you”, symbolises the particular diversity of this region. An eclecticism and cultural wealth that this album gets to grips without any hint of digression.
